10. The Thirty Years’ War



The Thirty Years' War was a 17th-century religious conflict in central Europe, lasting from 1618 to 1648. It was one of the longest and most brutal wars in human history, resulting in over 8 million casualties and causing famine and disease. The conflict evolved from a battle between Catholic and Protestant states to a shift in Europe's geopolitical landscape and the role of religion and nation-states.
